Points of Light is a global, nonprofit organization dedicated to volunteer service. Its mission is to inspire, equip and mobilize people to take action that changes the world.

Challenge

The organization wanted to share best practices for corporate volunteering in Asia. It wanted to encourage other companies to support more employee volunteer programs, and it also wanted to position itself as a thought leader in this field.

Solution

I served as the editor for this report, which presents a framework of seven effective practices of employee volunteering. Each practice is illustrated by an explanation and real examples from companies in Asia, with photos and quotes to make each example engaging and relatable. Sharing a framework with companies was useful to give them a guide for effective employee volunteering. The examples served as inspiration to help them implement similar programs.
